Median (median.am) shows how different media outlets cover the same news. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit median.am or follow Median on social platforms, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

• No registration. Median has no user accounts, comments or advertising, and you never need to give us your name or contact details to read the site.
• Technical information. As with any website, standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested is processed to deliver pages securely and to protect the service against abuse. We do not use it to identify you and do not combine it with other information.
• Audience statistics. We may measure visits in aggregate (for example, how many times a page was viewed), using methods that do not identify or follow individual visitors.
• Settings on your device. Choices such as day or night mode are saved in your own browser so the site remembers them. They are not sent to us.

Cookies

Median does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and the site loads no third-party advertising or tracking scripts.

News content

Median analyses publicly available news reports: headlines, short excerpts, publication times and links. Every story links to the original reports, and Median does not republish full articles.

Median on Telegram, Facebook and Instagram

Median publishes its stories on Telegram, Facebook and Instagram. When you use those platforms, their own privacy policies apply.

The tools Median uses to publish there post only Median's own content to Median's own accounts. They do not collect, store or use personal information about users of those platforms, and they do not read profiles, messages or comments.

If you contact us

If you write to Median, we use your message only to reply to you, keep it no longer than needed, and delete it at your request.

Data deletion

Median holds no personal information about users of Facebook, Instagram or Telegram, so there is no such data to delete. If you have contacted us and want your messages deleted, write to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion". We confirm the deletion within 30 days.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we handle against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Children

Median is a general news service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

You can ask what information Median holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, at [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
