The Ministry of Environment said claims made in the National Assembly about COP17 spending and procurement do not correspond to reality. Opposition lawmakers had raised questions about advertising services, prices of branded goods and non-competitive purchases. According to the ministry, the venues were chosen based on a UN assessment, procurement follows UN standards, and 18.5 billion drams was initially allocated in the state budget's reserve fund.
