Belarus's State Committee for Standardization has banned the import and sale of the Armenian seven-year-aged brandy 'Arame' and the Georgian eight-year-aged brandy 'Pogreb Shio' from 31 October 2026. According to the committee, an examination found that they do not comply with the technical regulations of the Customs Union. In both drinks, the concentration of tannins was 0.16 g/dm³ instead of the required minimum of 0.3 g/dm³. 'Arame' is produced by MAP CJSC.
