Kentron TV operates under Multi Media-Kentron TV CJSC, which is wholly owned by Sedrak Arustamyan. MOM Armenia reports that Arustamyan has deep business ties with Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan and directed Tsarukyan family company Multi Group from 1998 to June 2020.

Currently, the 100% shareholder of “Multi Media-Kentron TV” CJSC, which manages “Kentron” TV channel, is Sedrak Arustamyan, who has deep business ties with Gagik Tsarukyan. From 1998 until June 2020, he was the director of “Multi Group” CJSC, whose owners are Gagik Tsarukyan and his son. MOM Armenia reports a long-standing belief that Gagik Tsarukyan is Kentron TV's de facto owner despite Arustamyan's formal ownership.

A long-standing belief exists in Armenian society that Gagik Tsarukyan is the de facto owner of Kentron TV channel, despite Arustamyan's formal ownership status. ODIHR found that Kentron, together with other named outlets, consistently portrayed the government and Civil Contract negatively while giving favourable coverage to selected opposition contestants.

By contrast, Kentron, H2 and Yerkir Media televisions, as well as the news.am and panorama websites consistently portrayed the government and the Civil Contract Party negatively, while providing favourable coverage to selected opposition contestants ODIHR found that Kentron devoted 24 per cent of its coverage to Prosperous Armenia, mostly positively, and 10 per cent to Civil Contract, predominantly negative in tone.

Kentron devoted 24 per cent of its coverage to Prosperous Armenia, while Yerkir Media devoted 13 per cent to Armenia Alliance, and Panorama 20 per cent to Strong Armenia, mostly in a positive tone. H2 and news.am each devoted between 12 and 13 per cent of their coverage to Strong Armenia and Armenia Alliance each, mainly positively. The Civil Contract Party received 10 per cent of the coverage on Kentron, 13 per cent on Yerkir Media, 18 per cent on H2, 21 per cent on news.am and 24 per cent on Panorama, predominantly negative in tone. Yerevan Press Club recorded zero positive and 49 negative references to Civil Contract on Kentron.
