On October 13, the Yerevan Council of Elders decided to name Nor Aresh 3rd Street after the poet, translator and public figure Metakse, and to rename Frunze Street in the Shengavit administrative district as Yervanduni Street. According to the rationale for the draft, Mikhail Frunze's activities are mainly linked to the history of the Russian Empire and Soviet Russia. City authorities said the renaming is intended to reflect the historical heritage of the Armenian people.
