Latvia's Food and Veterinary Service announced that tolfenpyrad, a pesticide banned in the EU, was found in a 57.6 kg shipment of green tea imported from Armenia, along with levels of two other pesticides exceeding permitted limits. The shipment's import has been banned. Artur Mamikonyan, a representative of the Food Safety Inspection Body, stated that the tea is not of Armenian origin but was imported, packaged and exported from Armenia.
