Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the October 22 government session that the number of registered jobs in September rose by about 15,000 compared with August and by 39,751 compared with September of last year. According to him, the average salary increased by 28,418 drams, or about 7 percent, while the number of jobs has grown by 311,480 since 2017. Some experts argue that most of the growth consists of jobs brought out of the shadow economy into the tax system.
