Republic Party chairman Aram Sargsyan appealed on October 29 to Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, demanding a review of the activities of South Caucasus Railway from 2008 to 2026 and the launch of criminal proceedings if signs of a crime are found. As grounds, he cited Nikol Pashinyan's 2018 statement about abuses of around $60 million at the company. He also demanded an examination of the circumstances surrounding the dismantling of infrastructure, freight transportation and staff cuts.
