Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on November 2, at a joint session of the National Assembly's standing committees, that the government will gradually hand over full control of Armenia's borders to the Armenian Border Guard Service, which is to undergo reforms. According to him, this is necessary for visa liberalization with the EU. Pashinyan also noted that the biometric passport system was launched on November 1.
