Musk promises every child in the US a share of SpaceX

Elon Musk wrote on X on October 19 that next year he will give every child in the United States one of his SpaceX shares, and that this is the first of such programmes. He did not specify who will be eligible or how and when the shares will be distributed. Information on SpaceX's status varies: according to one account, it is not traded on the stock exchange, while according to another, it went public in June and one share costs about $146.
