The Armavir Province Court of First Instance has terminated proceedings in cases brought by Stepan Asatryan and Aramayis Takhmazyan. The court ruled that disputes over defrocking are not subject to examination under civil procedure. The plaintiffs had sought to have Catholicos Karekin II's orders declared invalid and to be reinstated in their positions. The measures securing the claims were also lifted.
