On October 26, a prayer for peace and a reception dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia were held at the Armenian Catholic Church of St. Nicholas in Rome, the Armenian Embassy to the Holy See reports. The ceremony was presided over by Catholicos-Patriarch Raphael Bedros XXI Minassian, and the guest of honor was Cardinal Pietro Parolin. Ambassador Boris Sahakyan noted that Armenia's peace efforts are in line with the Pontiff's appeals.
